As we celebrate the beautiful Feast of Christmas, I would like to thank all parishioners for the kindness, support, and generosity shown to me in so many ways over the year. Your giving of your time ensures that our parish is a vibrant one where the message of Jesus Christ is witnessed in a whole variety of ways. Your input makes such a huge difference to the Parish of St. Malachy. 

Christmas is one of the most joyous seasons of the year when we look forward to the Holy Mass with families, exchanging gifts, sharing greetings, and meeting loved ones. This Christmas, let us take the time to meet Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Let us pour our hearts before Him and tell Him how much He means to us.  Jesus says I am standing at the door, knocking, if you hear my voice and open the door, I think each one of us has an invitation this Christmas to open the door of our hearts and allow Jesus to take control of our life. Surely, we will find our true joy and peace in every aspect of our celebration this Christmas season, for He alone is the light, the song, and the gift we need the most.

This Christmas, as we sit around the Christmas tree, may we be reminded that the greatest gift was not placed under a Christmas tree, but instead on the cross of Calvary. Let the peace of Christ guard your hearts and minds as you live in Him. May God fill you and your families with the joy and peace in knowing Christ Jesus and may His gracious Spirit rest upon you. 

Christmas has a way of bringing to Church individuals and families who, for various reasons, have not been to Mass or the Sacraments for months or years. What a wonderful and grace-filled opportunity to put aside past differences and old habits and begin anew that prayerful relationship with the Lord and His Church community. I extended to all of you an open, grateful heart of welcome together with the family of St. Malachy.  Together, may we grow in strength and grace to know and celebrate together God’s presence in our lives and His dominion over all things of this world.

May our Lord Jesus Christ, born in Bethlehem, bless you, your families, and your loved ones at this blessed time of hope and grace. May Mary, the Mother of the child Jesus and our Mother, watch over you and our beloved St. Malachy Parish always.

I hope to meet each of you in the Church. May Christ abide in your hearts always!
